  • Deciduous - oval, bright green leaves to 30cm (12in) long, hairy above, densely hairy beneath.
  • Blue - lilac flowers in profusion with pale yellow in the throat
  • Height - 12m (40ft)
  • Spread - 10m (30ft)
  • Tree - fast-growing tree with stout shoots. Produces flowers 5cm (2in) long in upright panicles from buds formed the previous autumn.
  • Full sun - shelter from cold, dry winds.
  • Additional Features - Pests & Diseases - - canker, honey fungus, leaf spot, powdery mildew.
  • Place of origin - China
  • Resistant to honey fungus - These plants have little or few problems with honey fungus.
