Commonly known as Russian sage




  • Deciduous - lance-shaped, coarsely-toothed, lobed leaves 5-6cm (2-2½in) long.
  • Blue

  • Spread - 1m (3ft)
  • Medium shrub - Typically grow to around 4-6 feet in height - clump-forming perennial. Produces flowers in narrow spikes to 30cm (12in) or more.
  • Hardy - cold winter - Hardy in most places throughout the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open/exposed sites or central/northern locations. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -15°C (5°F)
  • Full sun
  • Additional Features - Good to know - for best impact plant in small groups. Wildlife plant - insects.
