  • Evergreen - sage-like, ovate-lance-shaped, wrinkled leaves to 10cm (4in) long
  • Yellow - 3cm (1¼in) long
  • Height - 1m (39in)
  • Spread - 1.5m (5ft)
  • Medium shrub - Typically grow to around 4-6 feet in height - mound-forming shrub with upright shoots. Flowers are formed in axillary whorls
  • Hardy - cold winter - Hardy in most places throughout the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open/exposed sites or central/northern locations. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -15°C (5°F)
  • Full sun
  • Additional Features - Good to know - - wildlife plant - insects
  • Pests & Diseases - leafhoppers
  • Place of origin - eastern Mediterranean
  • Resistant to honey fungus - These plants have little or few problems with honey fungus.

  • Pruning group - Pruning group 5
    Suitable for: Evergreen shrubs that require minimal pruning.
    Action: Trim or lightly cut back shoots that spoil symmetry. Deadhead regularly.
    When: Annually after flowering.
