  • Evergreen - deep-green leaves 4-5cm (1½-2in) long are dense, forward-pointing and are carried in pairs
  • Height - 25m (80ft)
  • Spread - 8m (26ft)
  • Conifer - produces long-conical, yellow-brown to brown female cones 2.5-7cm (1-3in) long. Cones have reflexed scales and persist on the tree
  • Tree - scaly, red-brown bark, shiny, greenish brown shoots and very resinous, cylindrical buds
  • Very hardy - Hardy in the severest continental climates including exposed upland locations in the UK. Plant can withstand temperatures < -20 (-4°F)
