PITTOSPORUM tobira 'Variegatum'

Commonly known as Australian laurel, Tobira



Silver variegated marbled leaves

  • Evergreen - leathery leaves 3cm (1¼in) long, deep green above, paler beneath with irregular white margins
  • Cream
  • Height - 2-10m (6-30ft)
  • Spread - 1.5-3m (5-10ft)
  • Tall Shrub - with congested stems, usually rounded and dense. Produces large, terminal clusters of flowers to 2.5cm (1in) across followed by spherical, yellow-brown capsules with red seeds, 1.5cm (½in) long
  • Hardy - average winter - Hardy through most of the UK apart from inland valleys, at altitude and central/northerly locations. May suffer foliage damage and stem dieback in harsh winters in cold gardens. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -10°C (14°F)
  • Full sun
