Commonly known as Alpine mint bush

Minute leaves and large racemes of white flowers. The hardiest of all Prostantheras and a suitable rock plant

  • Evergreen - rounded, entire leaves 6mm (¼in) long with wedge-shaped bases and rolled margins
  • White - with purple and yellow markings
  • Height - 30-90cm (12-36in)
  • Spread - 30-90cm (12-36in)
  • Dwarf shrub - Typically only grows to a maximum of one or two feet in height but there will be some exceptions. - erect to spreading shrub producing woody shoots
  • Hardy - average winter - Hardy through most of the UK apart from inland valleys, at altitude and central/northerly locations. May suffer foliage damage and stem dieback in harsh winters in cold gardens. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -10°C (14°F)

  • Additional Features - Pests & Diseases - - red spider mite and whitefly in greenhouse
  • Place of origin - Australia (New South Wales to Tasmania)
  • Resistant to honey fungus - These plants have little or few problems with honey fungus.
