      Young plants produce pendent, narrow, sharply pointed, coarsely and jaggedly toothed dark bronze-green leaves to 45cm (18in) long.

      Upright growing, later developing a small, rounded head with spreading, linear, dark-green leaves to 15cm (6in) long. Produces green flowers in umbels to 10cm (4in) across, followed on pollinated female plants by small, ovoid, black fruit.
    • Half hardy - unheated greenhouse / mild winter
      Hardy in coastal and relatively mild parts of the UK except in severe winters and a risk from sudden (early) frosts. May be hardy elsewhere with wall shelter or good micro-climate. Likely to be damaged or killed in cold winters. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -5°C (23°F)
