  • Herbaceous - Early in the year, typically January till end of March, herbaceous plants might be supplied in 9cm pots to ensure timely despatch. - rhizomatous perennial with a massive rootstock and thick leaf stalks which produce broadly ovate to rounded palmately 3-9 lobed, coarsely toothed, dark-green leaves to 90cm (36in) long. Produces tiny flowers in panicles to 2m (6ft) long.
  • Hardy - very cold winter - Hardy in all of UK and northern Europe. Plant can possibly withstand temperatures down to -20°C (-4°F)
