  • Hardy - average winter - Hardy through most of the UK apart from inland valleys, at altitude and central/northerly locations. May suffer foliage damage and stem dieback in harsh winters in cold gardens. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -10°C (14°F)
  • Additional Features - Pests & Diseases - - vine weevils, scale insects, honey fungus, powdery mildew, bud blast.
  • Place of origin - India. Named for George Johnstone, Trewithen, Truro, Cornwall
  • Garden Location/Conditions - Greenhouse / conservatory - Not the sort of plants to be grown outside where there are likely to be frosts. These plants need to be grown in a conservatory or cool greenhouse or at least brought inside for the winter - shade from hot sun
