Young foliage glowing golden yellow mellowing to lime yellow, small rose-purple flowers. Thrives in all types of soils. Very hardy

  • Deciduous - ovate, pinnate leaves to 20cm (8in) long with 5-7, sometimes 9, diamond-shaped leaflets
  • Purple - Shades of purple/mauve/lilac/violet - rose purple

  • Medium shrub - Typically grow to around 4-6 feet in height - thicket-forming shrub with arching, prickly shoots with a brilliant white bloom in winter
  • Hardy - very cold winter - Hardy in all of UK and northern Europe. Plant can possibly withstand temperatures down to -20°C (-4°F)
