  • Evergreen - ovate, entire or very shallowly 3- to 5-lobed, glossy, dark-green leaves to 10cm (4in) long, heart-shaped at the bases.

  • Ground cover - These plants are typically low growing and spread quickly to inhibit weed growth on areas of bare soil - both creeping and arching shoots. Produces flowers 2.5cm (1in) across singly or in few-flowered terminal racemes followed by raspberry-like fruit to 2.5cm (1in) across.
  • Hardy - very cold winter - Hardy in all of UK and northern Europe. Plant can possibly withstand temperatures down to -20°C (-4°F)
