VIOLA labradorica 'Purpurea'

Commonly known as Alpine violet, Labrador violet

Dark purplish-green leaves. Excellent in a woodland garden where it will become invasive

  • Semi-evergreen - Keeps some of its foliage all year, and will drop some leaves as well. - basal tufts of ovate, rounded, toothed leaves to 4cm (1½in) long, deeply heart-shaped at the bases
