  • Evergreen - variable, mid-green young leaves become rich-green and neatly toothed as the plant matures.
  • White
  • Height - 3-5m (10-16ft)
  • Spread - 1.5-2.5m (5-8ft)
  • Tall Shrub - dense clusters of flowers from an early age.
  • Hardy - average winter - Hardy through most of the UK apart from inland valleys, at altitude and central/northerly locations. May suffer foliage damage and stem dieback in harsh winters in cold gardens. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -10°C (14°F)
  • Full sun - protect from cold winds.
  • Partial shade - lightly dappled.
  • Additional Features - Good to know - - a Hillier selection named by Roy Lancaster. Side growth can be trimmed to form a small tree. Flowers from an early age. Attractive to butterflies.

  • Resistant to honey fungus - These plants have little or few problems with honey fungus.

    Suitable for: Deciduous and evergreen trees, and some deciduous shrubs.
    Pruning: Minimal pruning required. Prune wayward or crossing branches to maintain a healthy framework.
    When: When dormant in the late winter/early spring. Some in the summer/autumn to prevent bleeding of sap.
