Spreading but compact habit with white flowers which are indigo-blue on the reverse. In a normal winter this will easily survive as a hardy perennial

  • Evergreen - variable subshrub. Lance-shaped, toothed, grey-green leaves to 10cm (4in) long. Flowerheads 5-8cm (2-3in) across.
  • Blue - indigo blue on reverse
  • White
  • Height - 60cm-1.5m (2-5ft)
  • Spread - 60cm-1.2m (2-4ft)
  • Half hardy - unheated greenhouse / mild winter - Hardy in coastal and relatively mild parts of the UK except in severe winters and a risk from sudden (early) frosts. May be hardy elsewhere with wall shelter or good micro-climate. Likely to be damaged or killed in cold winters. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -5°C (23°F)
