  • Evergreen - perennial bromeliad. Swollen stem base bearing spreading terminal rosettes of lance-shaped, arching, dark-green leaves, 60-100cm (24-39in) long.
  • Blue - blue green
  • Height - 2m (6ft)
  • Spread - 3m (10ft)
  • Medium shrub - Typically grow to around 4-6 feet in height - produces funnel-shaped flowers. Flowering stems reach up to 4m (13ft) with up tp 80 lateral branches
  • Half hardy - unheated greenhouse / mild winter - Hardy in coastal and relatively mild parts of the UK except in severe winters and a risk from sudden (early) frosts. May be hardy elsewhere with wall shelter or good micro-climate. Likely to be damaged or killed in cold winters. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -5°C (23°F)
