Hardy species forming dense clumps. Olive green canes grow 3-4 metres with the leafy branches in a bottlebrush effect

    Graceful, erect bamboo. Smooth, glossy, pith-filled canes to 3cm (1¼in) across. Clustered branches 10-80cm (4-32in) long almost encircle the white-waxy nodes.

    Hardy through most of the UK apart from inland valleys, at altitude and central/northerly locations. May suffer foliage damage and stem dieback in harsh winters in cold gardens. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -10°C (14°F)
