  • Deciduous - pinnate, mid-green leaves 20-30cm (8-12in) long, turning yellow in autumn.
  • Height - 25m (80ft)
  • Spread - 20m (65ft)
  • Tree - spreading tree with furrowed, grey, ornamental bark. Produces bitter-tasting, thin-shelled nuts to 5cm (2in) long.
  • Hardy - very cold winter - Hardy in all of UK and northern Europe. Plant can possibly withstand temperatures down to -20°C (-4°F)
