  • Spread - 1m (3ft)
  • Ornamental grasses - Clumping grass. Slender, but stiff, inrolled leaves. Attractive display of flower spikes on mature plants after a few years.
  • Hardy - average winter - Hardy through most of the UK apart from inland valleys, at altitude and central/northerly locations. May suffer foliage damage and stem dieback in harsh winters in cold gardens. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -10°C (14°F)
  • Full sun
  • Additional Features - Good to know - excellent for dried flower arrangements if cut before fully mature. Cut out old, flowered stems in early winter.

  • Place of origin - New Zealand.
  • Hardiness - Frost hardy (down to -5) -
  • Soil Conditions - Fertile moist well-drained soil - protect crowns from excessive winter wet.
