BAMBOO Sasa palmata ramosa

(Arundinaria vagans) - quick spreading hardy and dense bamboo with attractive light green new shoots and leaves. Grows to a maximum of 3 feet

  • Evergreen - oblong leaves to 20cm (8in) long have yellow midribs and wither at the tips in winter.
  • Height - 0.4 - 1m(16-39in)
  • Spread - indefinite.
  • Bamboo - extremely vigourous with slender, glossy, bright-green canes.
  • Dwarf shrub - Typically only grows to a maximum of one or two feet in height but there will be some exceptions.
  • Ground cover - These plants are typically low growing and spread quickly to inhibit weed growth on areas of bare soil
  • Medium shrub - Typically grow to around 4-6 feet in height
