SHRUBBY HONEYSUCKLES

Long ovate grey-green leaves paired or in threes with highly fragrant tubular lilac-pink flowers. A rare and unusual species well worth its place

  • Shades of pink - All shades of pink through to Carmine (red) - lilac pink
  • Height - 2-3m (6½-10ft)

  • Medium shrub - Typically grow to around 4-6 feet in height - graceful, rounded shrub. Produces 5-lobed flowers to 1cm (½in) across in pairs from the leaf axils, followed by red berries
  • Very hardy - Hardy in the severest continental climates including exposed upland locations in the UK. Plant can withstand temperatures < -20 (-4°F)

    Pruning: Prune flowered shoots to strong buds. Cut back approximately 1/4 of old shoots to the base to promote replacement growth.
    When: Annually, after flowering.
