6th January 2021. In line with the current government lockdown rules, Burncoose Nurseries is closed to visitors. However at present we are able to offer click and collect to local customers. This will be weekdays only, not weekends. Mail order is continuing as normal. However please allow extra time for the couriers to deliver, once despatched from us. Sorry to say that some depots are experiencing high volumes of traffic, also staff shortages.

  • Deciduous - leaves to 7cm (3in) long, sharply toothed at the margins, bright yellow in late spring toning down to greener yellow in late summer
  • Blue
  • Height - 1.2m (4ft)
  • Spread - 1.5m (5ft)
  • Medium shrub - Typically grow to around 4-6 feet in height - dense, mound-forming shrub. Produces flowers, 7-8mm (¼in) across in rounded cymes in the upper leaf axils
  • Hardy - average winter - Hardy through most of the UK apart from inland valleys, at altitude and central/northerly locations. May suffer foliage damage and stem dieback in harsh winters in cold gardens. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -10°C (14°F)
  • Against a wall - benefits from the warmth of a sheltered wall
