  • Evergreen - on young trees leaves are wedge-shaped, light green to 1.5cm (½in) long. On mature trees they are scale-like, incurved to 5mm (¼in) long.
  • Height - in nature 25-45m (80-150ft). As a houseplant to 1-1.5m (3-5ft)
  • Spread - in nature 6-8m (20-25ft)

  • Tree - upright tree with open branches.
  • Tender - cool or frost free greenhouse - Tolerant of low temperatures, but not surviving being frozen. Except in frost-free inner-city areas or coastal extremities requires glasshouse conditions. Plant can withstand temperatures down to 1°C (34°F)

  • Additional Features - Good to know - grown under protection in the northern hemisphere. Can be grown as a houseplant
