  • Evergreen - ovate or elliptic, velvety-hairy leaves 5-7cm (2-3in) long
  • Purple - Shades of purple/mauve/lilac/violet - reddish purple
  • Height - 2-3m (6½-10ft)
  • Spread - 2-3m (6½-10ft)
  • Tall Shrub - produces leafy panicles of satin-textured, saucer-shaped flowers 7-10cm (3-4in) across with dark, hooked stamens
  • Heated greenhouse - warm temperate - Can be grown outside in summer. Plant can withstand temperatures down to 5°C (41°F)
  • Full sun - if outside
  • Additional Features - Good to know - suitable for growing in large pots on the patio in summer
