Small to medium sized Australian tree grown for shade. Bell-shaped flowers, variable in colour from light pink to red. Edible seeds, best roasted. Frost tender

  • Evergreen - ovate, lustrous, dark green leaves 4-12cm (1½-5in) long which can vary from entire to 3- or 5-lobed on the same plant.
  • White
  • Height - 5m (16ft)

  • Tree - small tree. Produces flowers to 1.5cm (½in) across with spreading lobes
  • Heated greenhouse - subtropical - Can be grown outside in summer. Plant can withstand temperatures down to 10°C (50°F).
