  • Evergreen - elliptic, broadly lance-shaped, or inversely lance-shaped mid-to dark green leaves 0.7-2cm (¼-¾in) long, often silvery hairy when young
  • Shades of pink - All shades of pink through to Carmine (red) - pale pink
  • Height - 2-3m (6½-10ft)
  • Spread - 2m (6½ft)
  • Tall Shrub - compact shrub of rounded habit with arching shoots ascending to widely spreading. Produces solitary but profusely borne flowers to 1.5cm (¼in, or more) across
  • Half hardy - unheated greenhouse / mild winter - Hardy in coastal and relatively mild parts of the UK except in severe winters and a risk from sudden (early) frosts. May be hardy elsewhere with wall shelter or good micro-climate. Likely to be damaged or killed in cold winters. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -5°C (23°F)
