  • Semi-evergreen - Keeps some of its foliage all year, and will drop some leaves as well. - oblong-lance-shaped, fine-toothed, usually mealy, pale green leaves to 15cm (6in) long
  • Purple - Shades of purple/mauve/lilac/violet - purple blue
  • Height - 40cm (16in)
  • Spread - 40cm (16in)
  • Herbaceous - Early in the year, typically January till end of March, herbaceous plants might be supplied in 9cm pots to ensure timely despatch. - rosette-forming perennial. Produces tubular flowers to 1cm (½in) long with shallowly lobed petals in flattened, spherical racemes
  • Very hardy - Hardy in the severest continental climates including exposed upland locations in the UK. Plant can withstand temperatures < -20 (-4°F)
  • Full sun - tolerates if soil remains moist at all times
