CLIMBING HONEYSUCKLES

An excellent new introduction with huge clusters of gentle yellow flowers. A plant of great ornamental merit which can be grown on a tree, wall or trellis

  • Deciduous - paired, oval to oblong. mid-green leaves to 12cm (4½in) long, blue-white beneath, the upper pairs united. Bronze tinted when young.
  • Yellow
  • Height - 4-8m (13-26ft)
  • Spread - 1-1.5m (3-5ft)
  • Climber - Some of these climbing plants will need trellis or wire supports if grown on walls or fences. Other grow aerial roots and are self-clinging - woody, twining climber. Produces long-tubed, 2-lipped flowers to 8cm (3in) long in large, terminal whorls, followed by red berries
  • Hardy - cold winter - Hardy in most places throughout the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open/exposed sites or central/northern locations. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -15°C (5°F)
