A cross between E.mellifera and E. stygiana which grows up to 6 feet tall. Creamy-white midribs to the leaves and scented yellow-brown flowers

    Vigorous shrub with stout shoots. Flowers in open, terminal cymes 16-20cm (6¼-8in) across followed by warty, rounded fruits from late summer

    Hardy through most of the UK apart from inland valleys, at altitude and central/northerly locations. May suffer foliage damage and stem dieback in harsh winters in cold gardens. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -10°C (14°F)
