EUPHORBIA x pasteurii

Commonly known as Spurge, Wolf's milk

A cross between E.mellifera and E. stygiana which grows up to 6 feet tall. Creamy-white midribs to the leaves and scented yellow-brown flowers

 

  • Evergreen - oblong to narrowly lance-shaped leaves to 30cm (12in) long
  • Yellow - yellow brown
  • Height - 2m (6½ft)
  • Spread - 5m (16ft)
  • Medium shrub - Typically grow to around 4-6 feet in height - vigorous shrub with stout shoots. Flowers in open, terminal cymes 16-20cm (6¼-8in) across followed by warty, rounded fruits from late summer
  • Hardy - average winter - Hardy through most of the UK apart from inland valleys, at altitude and central/northerly locations. May suffer foliage damage and stem dieback in harsh winters in cold gardens. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -10°C (14°F) - borderline
  • Full sun
