    Typically grow to around 4-6 feet in height
    Produces cymes of up to 11 star-shaped to shallowly cup-shaped flowers to 6cm (2½in) across.

    Hardy in most places throughout the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open/exposed sites or central/northern locations. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -15°C (5°F)

    Collected in Yunnan in 1980 by Roy Lancaster. Bracts around the buds are pink tinged, like little red stars
