Due to very high order volumes, there is an order limiting system in place at present. Please be aware that courier deliveries can be delayed, due to high volumes. The nursery and gardens are open 10.00 to 16.00 everyday, all are welcome.

  • Orange
  • Height - to 1.9m (6ft)
  • Spread - 50cm (20in)
  • Bulb/Corm or rhizomatous perennial - rhizomatous perennial. Gladiolus-like flowers 8cm (3in) across on dark red-purple stems. Leaves 25-50cm (10-20in) long
  • Herbaceous - Early in the year, typically January till end of March, herbaceous plants might be supplied in 9cm pots to ensure timely despatch.
  • Half hardy - unheated greenhouse / mild winter - Hardy in coastal and relatively mild parts of the UK except in severe winters and a risk from sudden (early) frosts. May be hardy elsewhere with wall shelter or good micro-climate. Likely to be damaged or killed in cold winters. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -5°C (23°F)
  • Full sun - sheltered site. Water freely during dry spells
