Small yellow flowers in spring and stunning yellow autumn colour

 

  • Deciduous - oval or rounded, papery, smooth-surfaced leaves 2.5-9cm (1-3½in) long with blunt or tapered tips, turning golden yellow in autumn

  • Tall Shrub - upright shrub or small tree with glossy, dark brown young branches covered in prominent whitish lenticels. Produces flowers about 6mm (¼in) across in short-stalked clusters in the leaf axils

  • Hardy - cold winter - Hardy in most places throughout the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open/exposed sites or central/northern locations. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -15°C (5°F)
