  • Evergreen - narrowly lance-shaped, glossy, dark green leaves to 7cm (2¾in) long
  • Purple - Shades of purple/mauve/lilac/violet
  • Height - 30cm (12in)
  • Spread - indefinite
  • Ground cover - These plants are typically low growing and spread quickly to inhibit weed growth on areas of bare soil - prostrate subshrub. Produces flowers on upright shoots
  • Hardy - average winter - Hardy through most of the UK apart from inland valleys, at altitude and central/northerly locations. May suffer foliage damage and stem dieback in harsh winters in cold gardens. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -10°C (14°F)
  • Full sun - for best flowering
