      Spreading, slender-branched shrub. 4-petalled flowers, to 5mm (¼in) across are produced in the leaf axils as the leaves emerge. Male flowers are produced in small panicles to 3cm (1¼in) long, the females singly.

      Suitable for: Deciduous and evergreen trees, and some deciduous shrubs.
      Pruning: Minimal pruning required. Prune wayward or crossing branches to maintain a healthy framework.
