    Spreading, clump-forming rhizomatous perennial with upright, single or branched stems and pinnate, hairy leaves to 25cm (10in) long, each composed of 7-17 leaflets. Produces cones of green buds opening from the bottom to form bottlebrush spikes, to 20cm (8in) long, of small, fluffy flowers
  • Herbaceous
    Early in the year, typically January till end of March, herbaceous plants might be supplied in 9cm pots to ensure timely despatch.
  • Very hardy
    Hardy in the severest continental climates including exposed upland locations in the UK. Plant can withstand temperatures < -20 (-4°F)
  • Full sun
