Small green flowers followed by purple berries turning black when ripe

    Leaves to 60cm (24in) long, composed of 7-9 ovate to ovate-oblong, dark green leaflets, glaucous on the reverse. Autumn colours of red, pink and orange before falling

    Vigorous climber. Produces few-flowered axillary cymes of flowers followed by top-shaped pink berries, 6mm (¼in) across, ripening to black
  • Hardy - cold winter
    Hardy in most places throughout the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open/exposed sites or central/northern locations. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -15°C (5°F)
