6th January 2021. In line with the current government lockdown rules, Burncoose Nurseries is closed to visitors. However at present we are able to offer click and collect to local customers. This will be weekdays only, not weekends. Mail order is continuing as normal. However please allow extra time for the couriers to deliver, once despatched from us. Sorry to say that some depots are experiencing high volumes of traffic, also staff shortages.

CANTUA

Genus of 12 species of evergreen, small trees and shrubs found in mountainous areas of South America.

The flower of C. buxifolia is a symbol of unity.

  • Evergreen
  • Medium shrub - Typically grow to around 4-6 feet in height - simple, alternate leaves and showy, tubular flowers. Long, flexible stems require support.
  • Will grow outside in milder locations - This could include plants which would survive happily in a greenhouse or conservatory if not in a mild location. If you have a sheltered spot in your garden then it may do well here. - loam-based compost for greenhouse - plenty of light.
  • Full sun - warm sheltered site.
