  • Deciduous - ovate-lance-shaped, slightly toothed leaves to 5cm (2in) long.
  • Blue - lavender-blue.
  • Height - 1m (39in)
  • Spread - 1.5m (5ft)
  • Medium shrub - Typically grow to around 4-6 feet in height - mound-forming. Produces flowers in axillary or terminal cymes to 1cm (½in) across in late summer, early autumn
  • Hardy - average winter - Hardy through most of the UK apart from inland valleys, at altitude and central/northerly locations. May suffer foliage damage and stem dieback in harsh winters in cold gardens. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -10°C (14°F)
  • Full sun - in colder climates grow against warm wall. Needs full sun for best leaf colour.
