  • Deciduous - oval, shallowly 3-5 lobed, mid-green leaves to 5cm (2in) long
  • Red
  • Height - 8m (26ft)
  • Spread - 8m (26ft)
  • Tree - rounded thorny tree. Produces large, bright red flowers 2cm (¾in) across with white centres followed by ovoid to spherical fruit
  • Very hardy - Hardy in the severest continental climates including exposed upland locations in the UK. Plant can withstand temperatures < -20 (-4°F)

  • Additional Features - Berries - These plants have berries.
  • Good to know - AGM as 'Punicea'
  • Pests & Diseases - caterpillars, aphids, gall midges, fireblight, honey fungus, rust, powdery mildew
