With more than 30,000 named cultivars there has to be a Daylily for the most choosy plant collector.
Genus of about 20 species of evergreen, semi-evergreen and herbaceous perennials from forest margins to mountainous areas, marshy river areas and meadowland in China, Korea and Japan.
Most flowers last for one day only and many are remontant, flowering repeatedly throughout the season.
Flowers can be circular, triangular, star-shaped, spider-like or double and some unusual forms, ruffled, margined or quilled.
