HEMEROCALLIS
Commonly known as Daylily
With more than 30,000 named cultivars there has to be a Daylily for the most choosy plant collector.
Genus of about 20 species of evergreen, semi-evergreen and herbaceous perennials from forest margins to mountainous areas, marshy river areas and meadowland in China, Korea and Japan.
Most flowers last for one day only and many are remontant, flowering repeatedly throughout the season.
Flowers can be circular, triangular, star-shaped, spider-like or double and some unusual forms, ruffled, margined or quilled.

EvergreenTo semi evergreen. Arching, strap-shaped dark-green leaves usually 75-120cm (30-48in) long but to only 23-35cm (9-14in) in dwarf or compact varieties.

HerbaceousEarly in the year, typically January till end of March, herbaceous plants might be supplied in 9cm pots to ensure timely despatch.Mostly clump- forming perennials. Flowers in a variety of forms are produced over a long period mainly from late spring to late summer. many are remontant (repeat flowering).
