  • Evergreen - oval, glossy, dark-green leaves to 2.5cm (1in) long, white-felted beneath.
  • White
  • Height - 2m (6½ft)
  • Spread - 3m (10ft)
  • Hedge - Ideal for hedging - suitable for a coastal hedge if some protection given from direct sea-winds
  • Medium shrub - Typically grow to around 4-6 feet in height - dense, bushy shrub. Dense corymbs to 8cm (3in) across of yellow-centred flowers.
  • Hardy - average winter - Hardy through most of the UK apart from inland valleys, at altitude and central/northerly locations. May suffer foliage damage and stem dieback in harsh winters in cold gardens. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -10°C (14°F)
  • Full sun - shelter from cold, dry winds.
  • Additional Features - Good to know - - suitable as hedge or windbreak in coastal areas. Wildlife plant - insects.
  • Pests & Diseases - trouble free.
  • Place of origin - New Zealand. (a natural hybrid from South Island)
  • Resistant to honey fungus - These plants have little or few problems with honey fungus.
