    SANGUISORBA

    Commonly known as Burnet

    Genus of about 18 species of rhizomatous perennials, most occurring in damp meadows in temperate and cooler regions of the northern hemisphere.

    UK natives are S. minor, salad burnet, to add a crisp, cucumber flavour to a salad or garnish a summer drink and S. officinalis. great burnet.
