    • Pests & Diseases
      Aphids, mites, scale insects, caterpillars, Verticillium wilt, leaf scorch, honey fungus.
    • Place of origin
      Eastern North America (east of the Rocky Mountains).
    • Deciduous
      3-5-lobed leaves to 10cm (4in) long
    • Red
      Tiny, reddish flowers

      Vigorous grower with fairly straight and narrow habit, but broadens with age. Silver-grey bark. Axillary clusters of flowers, sometimes followed by greenish, winged seeds

      Suitable for: Deciduous and evergreen trees, and some deciduous shrubs.
      Pruning: Minimal pruning required. Prune wayward or crossing branches to maintain a healthy framework.
