This tree is extremely rare in cultivation and needs a sheltered spot. Its new growth has an attractive coppery hue at first. In China this tree is used in traditional medicine as a treatment for liver and stomach ailments. Inconspicuous white flowers but we have yet to see them on our 10 year old tree
