BISCHOFIA

Genus of 2 species of mainly dioecious trees, B. javanica from tropical and subtropical Asia to the Pacific and B. polycarpa from China.

B. polycarpa wood is used for furniture and as a structural timber. The fruit is distilled as a liquor and the seeds yield oil which is used for lubrication.
