Genus of 200 or more species of deciduous and evergreen shrubs and climbers from woodland, scrub and rocky places in tropical and temperate regions.
Deciduous - and evergreen shrubs.
Climber - Some of these climbing plants will need trellis or wire supports if grown on walls or fences. Other grow aerial roots and are self-clinging
Additional Features - Good to know - - grown for their often fragrant, star-shaped flowers. Good for trellises and can be trained against a wall.
Pests & Diseases - aphids, mealybugs.
Place of origin - Europe, Asia, Africa.
Garden Location/Conditions - Greenhouse / conservatory - Not the sort of plants to be grown outside where there are likely to be frosts. These plants need to be grown in a conservatory or cool greenhouse or at least brought inside for the winter
