    PARROTIA

    Commonly known as Persian ironwood

    SCALLOPED foliage coloured in shades of red, orange and yellow and a siver-grey bark whence its metallic common name is derived. In the witch hazel family. Named after German naturalist Friedrich Parrot.

    Genus of 2 species of deciduous tree from forests in the Caucasus, northern Iran and eastern China.
