    Elliptic-ovate, mid green leaves to 8cm (3in) long some turning red or pink in autumn.

    Spreading tree with arching branches. Produces many green flowers in heads 1cm (½in) across surrounded by creamy bracts to 4cm (1½in) across turning dark pink. These are followed by large, pendent strawberry-like red fruit.

    Hardy in most places throughout the UK even in severe winters. May not withstand open/exposed sites or central/northern locations. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -15°C (5°F)
