  • Medium shrub - Typically grow to around 4-6 feet in height - open, arching, spreading shrub with attractive, extremely bristly, red stems in winter. Freely produces clusters of small orange/red berries which remain surrounded by the calyx until ripe
  • Hardy - very cold winter - Hardy in all of UK and northern Europe. Plant can possibly withstand temperatures down to -20°C (-4°F)

  • Additional Features - Good to know - - ornamental bramble which fruits on canes produced the previous year. Can be eaten from the cane. Use as raspberries

    Suitable for: Deciduous shrubs and trees that flower in Spring or early Summer on previous year's growth, including plants that produce new growth at or near ground level.
    Pruning: Prune flowered shoots to strong buds. Cut back approximately 1/4 of old shoots to the base to promote replacement growth.
    When: Annually, after flowering.
