  • Deciduous - slightly-toothed, grey-green leaves to 5cm (2in) long.
  • Blue - intense dark blue
  • Height - 1m (39in)
  • Spread - 1.5m (5ft)
  • Medium shrub - Typically grow to around 4-6 feet in height - erect habit. Produces axillary or terminal cymes of flowers to 1cm (½in) across in late summer, early autumn
  • Hardy - average winter - Hardy through most of the UK apart from inland valleys, at altitude and central/northerly locations. May suffer foliage damage and stem dieback in harsh winters in cold gardens. Plant can withstand temperatures down to -10°C (14°F)
  • Full sun - in colder climates grow against warm wall.
  • Additional Features - Good to know - - wildlife plant - insects, butterflies. Interestingly, many plants sold in the UK under this name may not be identical to the USA original.
