DICENTRA
Commonly known as Wild bleeding heart
Genus of 8 species of perennials from Asia and North America, mostly from damp habitats, including woodland, especially in mountainous areas.
The original 21 species, following molecular examination, have been split into 5 smaller genera with the result that old favourite and cottage-garden stalwart D. spectabilis (Dutchman's breeches) has been saddled with Lamprocapnos.
